Tension and resentment rise within teams when someone is chronically late causing other team members feel a lack of respect. Punctual employees are disgruntled when that they must cover a late co-worker's responsibilities frequently. Those who arrive a few minutes early can grab a cup of coffee and get organized at their desk ready to start on time.
